  • Overview: Do you enjoy working in a busy medical specialty, and doing a variety of tasks in a clinical setting while supervising team members for a smooth operation? Join our histology team as the Mohs Lab Supervisor!
  • Job Title: Mohs Lab Supervisor
  • Location: Edmonds (Requires up to 40% travel in WA along I-5 corridor. Travel flexible/negotiable, to be discussed during interview.)
  • Typical Schedule: Mondays – Fridays, this position is salary/hours may vary. Anticipated schedule of 8:00am - 5:00pm (negotiable)
  • Wage Range: $80,000 - $90,000 annual salary (Pay is dependent upon a combination of multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, transferable skills, business needs and geographic market availability)

Summary

The Mohs Lab Supervisor is primarily responsible for supporting daily operations across Washington Mohs clinics and laboratories by partnering with the Mohs Lab Manager to maintain consistent standards, regulatory compliance, inspection readiness, quality assurance, operational efficiency, and high-quality patient care. This role provides leadership and support in staff development, onboarding, training, scheduling coordination, site support, laboratory workflow management, compliance activities, and ongoing operational improvement while serving as a resource for Mohs staff throughout the region.

Job Responsibilities Staff Leadership & Development
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of Mohs laboratory personnel.
  • Train, mentor, and support Mohs technicians and laboratory staff, including competency assessments and training record maintenance.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and development support to promote performance, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Promote staff engagement and a positive, collaborative work environment.
Operational Management
  • Assist with Mohs laboratory staffing and scheduling throughout Washington clinics, including PTO coverage and staffing adjustments as needed.
  • Support efficient laboratory workflow and daily operations while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Conduct routine site visits to assess operations, address challenges, recommend solutions, and elevate concerns to leadership.
  • Assist with implementation of new workflows, procedures, special projects, and operational initiatives.
  • Support implementation of new clinic locations and operational expansions as requested.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Reinforce adherence to laboratory policies, procedures, CLIA regulations, quality assurance principles, and compliance standards by collaborating with the Mohs Lab Manager on quality assurance initiatives, CLIA compliance activities, and continuous improvements to policies and procedures that support regulatory readiness and quality outcomes.
  • Conduct routine reviews of laboratory logs, documentation, and quality records.
  • Assist with CLIA inspections, preparation activities, corrective action plans, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Maintain current knowledge of CLIA regulations, accreditation standards, laboratory best practices, quality improvement methods, and documentation practices.
Laboratory Support
  • Maintain proficiency in Mohs laboratory procedures and workflows.
