Swedish Radia Imaging Center at Edmonds is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Imaging team as an Imaging Tech Aide. We are an outpatient imaging center located in Edmonds, Washington, providing exceptional patient care in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Schedule: This is a day shift position working 4-10’s, 9:30am - 8:00pm

Compensation:

Hourly wage range is $/hour Wage is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment status. The pay range listed above is base pay; this position may be eligible for additional compensation, such as shift differential (applied to all evening and weekend hours).

In this role you will assist with delivering exemplary patient care and customer service while performing a variety of tasks to support the technologists and patient workflow.

Responsibilities

Working as an MA in our radiology practice offers a unique and rewarding perspective on patient care. Unlike traditional MA positions, radiology allows you to be directly involved in the imaging side of medicine – where the diagnosis begins. In this position, you’ll take on a variety of hands‑on responsibilities, working closely with patients across specialty modalities such as MRI/Breast MR, and CT.

You’ll work alongside technologists and radiologists, playing an important role in ensuring both safety and quality care throughout the imaging experience

  • Assist technologists with patient preparation, consenting, examinations, and procedures.
  • Coordinate patient workflow by communicating with patients, referring providers, scheduling teams, and clinical staff.
  • Obtain, review, and organize physician orders and required documentation prior to patient appointments.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary information from referring providers, patients, and insurance carriers to facilitate patient care.
  • Schedule imaging exams and related procedures as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties including patient communication, faxing, scanning, documentation, and other clerical tasks.
  • Serve as a liaison between technologists, providers, schedulers, and patients to ensure timely and accurate communication.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and infection prevention standards.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by providing excellent customer service and identifying opportunities to improve workflow and the patient experience.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency using electronic medical records and computer applications.

Preferred

  • IV Therapy Certification.
  • Previous experience in a radiology or diagnostic imaging setting.

    Experience with PACS, RIS, or other imaging software.
