Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) – Overview

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional registered nurse reporting to the unit director/manager. Using the nursing process, the ANM manages clinical and operational activities within their shift, supporting the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the unit’s services, and providing managerial presence for all shifts. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements, implementing and monitoring compliance with policies, processes and clinical priorities, and coaching, mentoring and collaborating with clinical and non‑clinical caregivers to deliver quality health care.

• Bachelor's Degree – Graduate from a School of Nursing (BS or BSN). Registered nurses employed in this role prior to November 1, 2024 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
• Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

• Recent clinical experience in an acute‑care hospital.
• Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse experience.
• Leadership experience.
• Shared Governance experience.

Posted wages: $62.90 – $99.31 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
