Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Postpartum, and Newborn care
• Active Washington RN license or Compact nursing license
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting system experience
• Ability to float to related clinical units
• Proficient in circulating for C-sections, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), and IV starts
• Experience with high-risk antepartum and teaching hospital environments preferred

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn units
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including circulating in the operating room
• Start adult IVs and administer blood/blood products
• Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, insulin, and magnesium sulfate therapies
• Perform sterile vaginal exams, maintain central lines (CVC/PICC), and use intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC)
• Implement isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols
• Deliver couplet care and support high-risk deliveries
• Float to other clinical units as needed to support patient care
