Travel Stepdown RN – Fusion Medical Staffing

Location:

Edmonds, Washington. 13‑week travel assignment.

• Provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, focusing on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac‑related procedures and examinations.
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians of cardiac status.
• Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies.
• Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients.
• Initiate patient education plans for cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

• Must remain in a stationary position or move about; move equipment 50‑100 lbs; push, pull, and bend.
• Must be able to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move equipment during procedures.
• Must cope with frequent contact with the public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Must work under close supervision occasionally and also independently without assistance from other personnel.
• Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
