This position is opened to cover a caregiver who is on leave with no definitive return date. This is a Primary Care and Client clinic with multiple providers. Nurses primarily perform phone triage and in-clinic appointments such as injections, teaching, blood pressure checks, wound care, and suture removal. Suture removal and newborn checks are also part of the responsibilities. RNs will be expected to triage pediatric, OB, and adult patients.
Required skills include height and weight assessment, interpretation of laboratory results, obtaining vital signs, pain assessment, and patient health questionnaires. Experience with hypertension, the use of external fetal heart monitoring, and various medication administration routes is necessary. Strong skills in patient education, particularly around lifestyle and medication adherence, are preferred. The nurse will participate in team collaboration and quality improvement initiatives.
Experience with electronic charting systems is required. Local candidates are preferred, but other candidates will be considered. This position does not require weekend or on-call work. The candidate must be open to eventually accepting a permanent role if offered. Transportation must be reliable, and scheduling needs must be met without special requests. All onboarding items must be completed swiftly following an offer acceptance.
