American Traveler is seeking a NICU Registered Nurse for a night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of NICU experience and NRP certification.
Requirements- Active WA state or compact RN license required, must be in hand at submission
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skilled in neonatal gastrointestinal care including bottle, breast, and gavage feedings
- Experience with placement/management of oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tubes
- Proficient in neonatal medication administration and dosage calculations, including emergency medications
- Experience with ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP)
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Level II NICU unit caring for admissions and normal newborns 32 weeks gestation or greater
- Attends all deliveries, including vaginal, cesarean, and high-risk deliveries
- Utilizes CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tubes, and syringe pumps
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Floating required as needed within the facility
- Not expected to care for mother-baby couplets unless already competent in this skill
- Provide direct neonatal care within a Level II NICU setting
- Attend high-risk and routine deliveries as part of care team responsibilities
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays:
Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day - Former Providence permanent employees must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months to qualify for a travel assignment
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to local radius rules
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for consideration
