Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Edmonds, WA | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

• Provide nursing care across Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn settings
• Assist with and support vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including circulating in the OR
• Administer blood and blood products, and manage epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and drains
• Administer medications including insulin and magnesium sulfate
• Start adult IVs and perform fetal heart monitoring (FHM)
• Float to other units or sister facilities as needed based on staffing requirements

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in LDRP, L&D, Postpartum, and Newborn care
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler; local candidates are accepted
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
• Former permanent employees of any affiliated Providence facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience in high-risk antepartum and high-risk L&D settings
• Experience with couplet care and pre-op/post-op OB patients

• Opportunity to work in a dynamic, full-scope OB environment covering a wide range of patient populations and clinical procedures
• Staffing ratios of 1:1–3 support a focused and manageable patient care experience
