Veterinary Assistant

Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant that enjoys a dynamic environment where you can utilize your skills in all different areas of the hospital? Edmonds-Westgate Veterinary Hospital might be a great fit for you! Our assistants play a crucial role in providing the best care to our patients and are a vital part of the team. Some of your responsibilities include: client education, setting up surgery and assisting with monitoring anesthesia, venipuncture, assisting with appointments and outpatient treatments.

This is a full‑time position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed generally Monday – Friday, with rotating Saturday shifts.

• Compensation: $21-26 per hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

• Ideally 2+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting, although we are open to training the right person!
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Patient restraint (dogs and cats)
  • SQ, IM and IV injections and vaccines
  • Patient care for hospitalized patients
  • Client communication and education
  • Setting up surgery suite
