General Laborer
The General Laborer supports our Vactor crews in a specialized construction support services environment. The role is physically demanding and rewarding for its impact on environment and water quality.
Responsibilities- Assist in setup and breakdown of equipment at jobsite (hoses, traffic control devices, filters, etc.)
- Perform shop work / housekeeping when needed
- Assist in cleaning of catch basins, storm drains, car wash pits, potholing, and hydro-excavation while working around live sewer projects
- Conduct all duties in a professional, courteous, customer‑service focused manner
- Maintain safety awareness at all times
- Proactive team player
- Collaborate with different divisions (vac, CCTV, HVAC) as needed based on job/client needs
- This is a safety‑sensitive position; background screening, MVR review, and drug screening are part of the employment process.
- Must obtain and maintain a DOT health card and maintain insurable status under company auto policy.
- Proficient with mobile technology (iPads, laptops, email, etc.).
- At least 1 year of recent work experience in the construction industry.
- Ability to perform duties in all weather conditions.
- Must maintain the company’s “No Jerk” culture.
- Safety and customer service oriented.
- Comfortable using personal protective equipment.
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Lifting and pulling/pushing up to 75 lbs.
- Occasional confined space entry into below‑ground structures.
- Reliable, dependable, flexible; shifts typically weekdays but may include night, weekend, out‑of‑town.
Location:
Edmonds, WA
Compensation: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour (base). Full‑time, Non‑Exempt.
Open: 1 position. Working schedule: weekdays, occasional night/weekend/out‑of‑town shifts.
