Apprenticeship Program Lead

Excel as Valard Construction's Apprenticeship Program Lead based in Edmonton, AB, where you will manage the comprehensive apprenticeship framework and foster talent development.
This role reports to the Director of People Strategy and demands a relationship-driven professional to lead the governance and policy development of Valard’s apprenticeship program. You'll be integral in enhancing collaboration with various stakeholders, supporting provincial coordination, and ensuring skill development across all business units. Expect to travel up to 30% to fulfill program requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee program governance and compliance frameworks

• Track apprentice onboarding and certification records

• Engage with regulatory bodies and trade training institutions

• Identify and manage apprenticeship funding sources

• Produce regular performance reports on program metrics
Requirements:

• Post-Secondary education in Education, Commerce, or HR

• Minimum of 3 years working with apprenticeship structures

• Proficient understanding of industry regulations and standards

• Solid experience in managing budgets and funding applications

• Familiar with Indigenous initiatives in the trades
