Become a key player in Sturgeon County's risk management and procurement as a Temporary Risk & Procurement Advisor. This role is pivotal in supporting county operations through compliance and best practices.
In this temporary position, you will guide departments in their procurement initiatives and risk management strategies. You'll ensure adherence to relevant legislation while fostering vendor relationships and overseeing asset disposal processes. Your strategic input will directly contribute to the County's efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support development and administration of procurement initiatives
• Facilitate contract negotiation and compliance processes
• Manage insurance claims and competitive procurement of coverage
• Enhance service delivery through collaborative efficiency initiatives
• Conduct supplier evaluations to maintain quality standards
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in relevant fields
• Minimum 3 years of experience in risk management or procurement
• Clear Police Information Criminal Record Check required
• Knowledge of procurement trade agreements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
