Regional Operations Specialist
Reports to:
Regional Operations Manager, Prairies
Location:
Edmonton, AB
We are looking for a Regional Operations Specialist to join our Operations Team in the Prairies. This position reports to the Regional Operations Manager, Prairies and will provide a high level of in-bakery operational support, training, guidance, and oversight to deliver improvements in bakery sales, operating profit and standards.
Responsibilities Conduct regular bakery visits/assessments to evaluate franchisee compliance with merchandising, customer experience, and product quality and support implementation of changes as necessary
Where appropriate, provide in-bakery training and operational support to address improvement opportunities for increasing bakery sales
Coordinate and implement local marketing initiatives
Implement plans to improve franchise operating profit across portfolio as directed by the Regional Director
Attend in-person production process reviews (e.g., recipe compliance)
Conduct in-bakery reviews of actual production vs. production schedules
Attend Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews as required and contribute to discussions to ensure outputs align with in-bakery actions
Monitor and ensure bakeries meet standard expectations, and implement with franchisees actions
Comply with all relevant OH&S policies
Other projects and tasks as required
Requirements A high-energy, positive attitude with the ability to quickly develop trust and meaningful relationships
1-2 years’ experience in operations, preferably in a franchise retail environment
2+ years' experience in customer service
1-2 years’ experience in the food service, hospitality or franchise industry
Baking experience required
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently and spend time ‘in the field’ rather than behind a desk
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to influence others in order to affect change and drive constant improvement
Can work autonomously, as well as collaborate and work within a team setting
Excellent communication, problem- solving and conflict resolution skills
Robust interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong attention to details
