Health and Safety Specialist

Position: Health and Safety Specialist at Earthscape
Join Earthscape Play in Wallenstein as a Health and Safety Specialist on an 18-month contract. This full-time role integrates compliance with fostering a proactive safety culture in the workplace.

In this key position within the People & Performance team, you'll enhance Earthscape's health and safety programs while supporting operational training initiatives. The emphasis is on building genuine engagement and translating compliance into practical safety practices. You will coordinate health, safety, and incident management efforts to shape a safer, more empowered workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bridge compliance with Earthscape’s workplace culture

• Coordinate health and safety programs and documentation

• Support WSIB claims and return-to-work initiatives

• Oversee operational training and certification programs

• Develop safety dashboards for leadership visibility

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years in health and safety coordination

• Strong Ontario health and safety legislation knowledge

• Proven experience in managing training programs

• Exceptional organizational skills

• Effective communication across all levels
