Position Summary

Reporting to the Individual Practice Manager or Individual Practice Supervisor, this position is responsible for key components of Individual Practice.

This role applies advanced APEGA systems expertise to support the implementation of Individual Practice policies and procedures, registrant data analysis, and quality assurance. It is responsible for the collection, review, assessment, and tracking of CPD updates, CPD reviews, annual declaration submissions, Non-Practicing Declaration Reviews, Character Reviews, and Individual Practice Reviews, and makes recommendations on closure, escalation, good standing status, and registrant exception requests.

The Individual Practice Analyst provides advanced analytical oversight, advisory support, and continuous improvement for continuing registration requirements applicable to individual registrants. The role supports consistent, defensible, and equitable administration of compliance, non-compliance, and condition management processes through data-driven analysis, risk identification, procedural development, quality assurance, and framework design to support sound regulatory decision-making and continued practice.

This role will also provide support to the Practice Review Board and Individual Practice Subcommittee (IPSC).

Responsibilities
  • Analyze Individual Practice processes, procedures, internal systems, and registrant user interfaces to support system alignment, process design, implementation planning, and practical mitigation of impacts to business processes and registrant experience.
  • Apply advanced internal systems knowledge and background history to identify and manage risks to Individual Practice business processes, data collection, registrant user experience, and related system changes.
  • Analyze registrant data, communication trends, compliance trends, risk profiles, non-compliance trends, and risk indicators to identify systemic and operational risks, data collection issues, and opportunities for escalation or improvement.
  • Independently complete quality assurance of registrant data and continuing registration determinations, condition design, monitoring outcomes, and supporting documentation to ensure consistency, defensibility, and alignment with statutory and procedural requirements.
  • Manage user acceptance testing, Aptify views, troubleshooting methods, and communication with BP and IT to support efficient data management, process scalability, quality assurance, and business cases for system changes.
  • Lead development of continuing registration procedures, monitoring models, analytical reporting, and recommendations to support durable and consistent decision-making.
  • Identify registrants who must undergo CPD review, issue notifications, track submissions, assess completeness, and recommend cancellation where complete submissions are not provided within required timelines in accordance with Council Cancellation Policy.
  • Analyze CPD review, DAR, renewal of registration, and related continuing registration submissions for completeness, accuracy, compliance, and alignment with CPD practice standards, CPD Review Procedure, CPD Program requirements, CPD-related legislation, and applicable Professional Governance Act requirements.
  • Provide recommendations to the Individual Practice Manager regarding program compliance, submission compliance, continuation, suspension, refusal, cancellation, or escalation where required by the applicable process.
  • Identify potentially fraudulent submissions, condition deficiencies, and other escalation issues, including referral to investigation or appropriate escalation pathways where warranted.
