Alberta Infrastructure is responsible for delivering about one quarter of the Alberta government’s Capital Plan, which addresses the provincial infrastructure needs of Alberta’s population that support key social programs and services and economic development.

The Ministry designs, builds, manages, and maintains government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that school and hospital infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. Infrastructure also provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans.

Reporting to the Manager, Vendor Performance Management, the Contract Evaluation Policy Analyst assists in program management of Infrastructure's Vendor Performance Management (VPM) Program. This position supports the creation of training and support tools to increase program awareness and foster a proactive culture around contract compliance and vendor performance management. In addition, the position will support and maintain the program SharePoint sites, as well as providing records management and file support.

Through effective teamwork and collaboration this position provides advisory, analytical, facilitation and coordination services to support project management to address the infrastructure needs.

The primary responsibilities for the Contract Evaluation Policy Analyst include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing information, analysis and advice using research methodologies and data reporting to identify and examine emerging issues and trends.
  • Providing project management support by maintaining project management records, project plans, schedules and issue and risk logs.
  • Maintaining project SharePoint sites and records management support including updating sites, providing technical advice support and coordination with Technology and Innovation, when required.
  • Providing support through program communications including developing newsletters, presentations, training and communication materials to support awareness of the Vendor Performance Management Program
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of major public and stakeholder consultations.
The successful candidate will have:
  • The ability to interpret complex information, legislation, and policies to create concise, accurate briefings, reports, and/or policy advice.
  • Consultation, presentation, problem-solving, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Project management skills to manage multiple requests and workloads.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Online.
  • Well-developed writing skills (e.g. articulate, clear, concise, grammatically correct).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe and SharePoint.
