Elevate Edmonton's news coverage as a News Editor/Presenter with CBC/Radio-Canada.
Your role will focus on delivering timely breaking news and connecting with audiences through various media formats.
This strategic position is designed for a skilled journalist who thrives under pressure and has a keen eye for newsworthiness. You will play a key part in planning newscasts, writing scripts, and presenting news both on-air and online, while fostering a culture of inclusiveness in storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver compelling news presentations and updates
• Coordinate with journalists to deliver breaking news
• Edit and write engaging scripts for broadcasts
• Conduct live interviews and manage audience interactions
• Ensure accurate reporting across all platforms
Requirements:
• Minimum four years of relevant experience
• Proven ability to generate original story ideas
• Excellent on-air presentation and critical thinking
• University degree in journalism or equivalent
• Willingness to work flexible hours
