Become a pivotal video journalist with CBC/Radio-Canada in Edmonton. This full-time, on-site role focuses on creative storytelling and engaging community narratives across various multimedia platforms.
The successful candidate will be an experienced video journalist responsible for producing original, compelling stories for TV, social media, and digital platforms. You will pitch, research, shoot, and edit news stories while actively responding to breaking news. Comfortable both in front of and behind the camera, you will leverage exceptional journalistic skills to elevate community voices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pitch and research original stories across platforms
• Respond to breaking news with timely coverage
• Shoot, edit, and package engaging visual content
• Present stories on-air, providing audience analysis
• Collaborate with colleagues for dynamic storytelling
Requirements:
• Minimum five years of journalism experience
• Strong writing and storytelling skills
• Proficiency with cameras and editing tools
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
