Global News Edmonton seeks two passionate journalists to craft and report news content across various shifts. As a key member of the news team, you will be responsible for producing, editing, and reporting dynamic stories while collaborating with various departments. Bring your innovative storytelling skills and be prepared to adapt quickly in a fast-paced media environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write and produce news content for multiple newscasts
• Create dynamic and compelling show line-ups each day
• Report and edit stories for and on-air segments
• Collaborate with local and national newsrooms on breaking stories
• Act as a mentor for digital journalism and video-first workflows
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in journalism or related field
• Two years of experience as a news producer/editor
• Minimum one year of reporting experience
• Proficient in shooting, editing, and broadcast writing
• Valid driver’s license and clear driver's abstract
