Audio Production Associate at CKUA

CKUA is seeking an Associate Producer in Edmonton to enhance our unique community-driven audio content. This full-time, in-person role focuses on production, editing, and live event coverage in a vibrant arts environment.

As part of CKUA’s Content team, you will leverage your production expertise to research, record, and edit captivating audio stories that reflect the diverse cultural landscape.

Your role involves collaborating with hosts and Senior Producers, managing multiple projects, and ensuring high-quality content ready for broadcast. A genuine interest in music will inform your approach to curation and editorial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and prepare for diverse interviews

• Edit sound recordings to meet broadcast standards

• Oversee music curation for projects and segments

• Assist with live event audio production

• Organize project logistics and technical resources

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of production and editing experience

• Strong skills in audio editing software

• Excellent research and communication abilities

• Familiarity with coordination and management tools

• Deep knowledge of music genres’ cultural significance
