Accountabilities Prepare and update monthly/quarterly reporting, presentations, and supporting commentary related to balance sheet performance (e.g., NIM/NII variances), Treasury forecasting, and other insights that drive decision making.
Review reporting results for completeness and reasonability by identifying unusual variances, trends, and potential business or operational drivers requiring further investigation.
Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and other business stakeholders during recurring reporting cycles to investigate reporting/data issues, obtain information and timelines, and support the resolution of data or reporting impacts.
Review and analyze results (e.g., month over month changes, actual vs budget/forecast, etc.) by developing and applying an understanding of business units, products, macroeconomic drivers and how these elements impact and drive balance sheet and net interest margin/income (NIM) in order to "tell a story" of the changes.
Develop an understanding of Treasury concepts including alternative funding, funds transfer pricing (FTP), capital, liquidity, etc. and how they relate and interact with overall balance sheet management.
Support the maintenance and integrity of reporting data structures, mappings, hierarchies, and related reporting processes, including supporting updates arising from business or enterprise reporting changes.
Collaborate with teams within and outside Treasury on ad hoc analysis, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional initiatives.
Perform recurring data preparation, validation, and reporting support activities required to maintain team reporting processes and outputs.
Support reporting enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives using various analytical and reporting tools.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Accreditations:
An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business.
Possessing or working towards a financial designation (CFA, FRM, etc.) considered an asset.
Core Technical
Skills:
Working proficiency in SQL, Big Query, Google Sheets, MS Excel, and other data software and languages.
Knowledge and/or previous experience with GCP platforms (i.e., Big Query), banking ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and data considered an asset.
Strong understanding of a financial institution’s product offerings, performance drivers, strategic and regulatory issues.
2-3 years of experience in banking, finance, and/or Treasury role.

Ability to translate complex topics into easily understood and useful information for the intended audience.

Workplace Arrangement This position has a hybrid work arrangement, requiring approximately 2 days on site per week. Note that this may change due to business priorities.
