As the Director, you will report to the Chief and Council, managing all aspects of financial operations for the First Nation and its related entities. This includes policy development, budget oversight, and compliance management. You'll supervise core functions such as accounting and payroll, ensuring alignment with funding agreements and First Nations governance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage strategic financial planning initiatives
• Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures
• Supervise payroll, accounting, and receivables
• Ensure adherence to compliance and reporting standards
• Foster effective financial stewardship across departments
Requirements:
• Formal education in Finance or Business Administration
• 3-5 years in finance management roles
• Familiarity with First Nation funding protocols
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management
