Position: Financial Analyst for City of Beaumont

Join the City of Beaumont as a Financial Analyst, helping to shape budgeting strategies and financial insights within a dynamic municipal setting. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to support impactful initiatives and enhance financial accountability.

This role reports to the Senior Financial Analyst and focuses on refining the city’s financial planning and budgeting framework. You'll engage in budget preparation, analysis, and reporting while offering technical expertise to various departments. Your contributions will directly support organizational success and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the annual operating and capital budget process

• Analyze budget forecasts and submissions for accuracy

• Prepare financial reports and documents for public presentations

• Collaborate on forecasts and business case development

• Train staff on budgeting processes and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field

• CPA designation in good standing

• Minimum five years of experience in financial analysis

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial tools

• Strong communication and analytical skills
