Real Estate Analyst

Join the Real Estate Debt team as an Analyst in Edmonton, Alberta. Collaborate closely with the Origination team on mortgage applications and funding processes.

In this essential role, you will report to the Director of Underwriting while assisting the Origination team with feasibility assessments for medium complexity loans. Your analytical skills will support thorough underwriting and structuring of commercial mortgage requests like land acquisitions, construction, and bridge financing. Prepare credit applications for the Investment Management team while ensuring alignment with internal guidelines and managing communication with external lenders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete feasibility assessments for mortgage loan opportunities

• Assist in underwriting and structuring mortgage requests

• Prepare credit applications for the Investment Management team

• Benchmark loans against internal guidelines and market deals

• Create loan presentations for third-party lenders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field

• 1-2 years experience in a real estate role

• Knowledge of financing and loan products

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
