In this senior role, you will oversee a team of financial professionals while providing expert advice on financial controls, reporting compliance, and policy development. Your leadership in consolidated ministry financial statements and continual engagement with audit services will be pivotal in driving financial accountability and transformation. You will play a significant role in aligning with government mandates and shaping financial policy across diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead preparation and review of financial statements
• Serve as the primary liaison with audit offices
• Oversee internal financial controls and processes
• Champion system improvements and reporting enhancements
• Mentor and develop a high-performing financial team
Requirements:
• University degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7 years of related experience in financial management
• 3-5 years in senior financial management roles
• Knowledge of Government of Alberta legislation
• Experience with significant transformation initiatives
