Edmonton Financing Director

Position: Edmonton Financing Director Role
Drive impactful financing initiatives as the Director, Financing with Alberta's Ministry of Treasury Board and Finance. This permanent role is focused on strategic debt management and fiscal sustainability.

In this senior manager position, you will oversee the Capital Markets team in Edmonton, ensuring effective debt management and advising on complex proposals. This role requires strong analytical skills to develop the Province’s borrowing strategies and to enhance relationships with financial stakeholders. Your leadership will be pivotal in supporting broader fiscal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct a team of capital markets professionals

• Lead development of financing strategies for the Province

• Analyze borrowing needs and recommend strategies

• Monitor capital market trends for optimal pricing

• Support policy development for large projects

Requirements:

• Degree in finance, business administration, or economics

• At least seven years of related government financing experience

• Strong understanding of public-sector financial management

• Exceptional communication and relationship management

• Proven track record in leading financial initiatives
