We are seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to support a dynamic portfolio of technology and business initiatives. In this role, you will play a key part in evaluating investments, developing business cases, building robust financial models, and providing decision-makers with the financial insights required to drive organizational success.

Typical Day- Develop and maintain business cases, financial models, and investment analyses for strategic initiatives and projects.
- Prepare project cost estimates, funding requirements, and total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments.
- Conduct financial evaluations including ROI, CPVRR, NPV, and other investment analysis methodologies.
- Review, validate, and document financial assumptions provided by project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure consistency and alignment between business case narratives and supporting financial models.
- Support project forecasting activities, including variance analysis and financial performance reporting.
- Consolidate financial information across multiple initiatives to provide portfolio-level reporting and insights.
- Enhance financial modelling tools, templates, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and standardization.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, investment analysis, business case development, project controls, or corporate finance.
- CPA designation or active pursuit of a CPA designation is considered an asset.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and complex formulas.
- Demonstrated experience preparing forecasts, budgets, cost estimates, and financial evaluations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of utilities, energy, or regulated industries is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with portfolio reporting, project governance, and investment approval processes.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, and finance stakeholders.
- Experience supporting technology, digital transformation, infrastructure, or capital investment projects.
- Total rewards: $45.00 - $55.00 hourly
- 12 months contract position
- Pay rate 45+ based on experience, also incorporate option
