Director of Financial Planning

Shape the future of financial planning for Alberta's health sector as the Executive Director in Edmonton. Oversee substantial budgets while providing strategic direction to ensure fiscal sustainability and accountability.

In this full-time role, you will report to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance within the Ministry of Primary and Preventative Health Services. Your expertise will guide complex financial planning while managing stakeholder relationships to meet diverse fiscal needs. The position calls for a leader in financial strategy who can foster a culture of collaboration and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial planning policies and strategies

• Oversee multi-billion-dollar operating and capital budgets

• Align financial activities with ministry business objectives

• Build networks with critical stakeholders for effective collaboration

• Lead and inspire a team of finance experts towards excellence

Requirements:

• Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles

• In-depth knowledge of large budget management

• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments

• Relevant degree required;
Master’s degree preferred

• Strong track record in team leadership and development
