Edmonton Inn & Conference Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and service-focused Catering Consultant to join our team. In this role, you'll work directly with clients to plan meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events while building lasting relationships that keep guests coming back.
This is a full‑time, hourly position that offers the opportunity to work with clients, coordinate meetings and special events, and be part of a team that delivers a wide variety of conferences, meetings, weddings, and special events throughout the year.

What You'll DoAs a Catering Consultant, you'll be responsible for working closely with clients and coordinating events from inquiry to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to event inquiries and building strong client relationships
- Conducting site tours and client meetings
- Preparing proposals, contracts, and event documentation
- Planning and coordinating meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events
- Assisting clients with menu selections, room setups, timelines, equipment requirements, and billing instructions
- Identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience through additional services and offerings
- Working closely with hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution
- Following up with clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage future bookings
- Supporting hotel events and functions as required
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to the overall success of the Sales & Catering team

- Organized and detail‑oriented with strong time management skills
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Professional, positive, and solution‑oriented
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Committed to creating exceptional guest experiences
- Previous hospitality, catering, guest service, event planning, conference services, or sales experience is considered an asset
- Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with catering, event management, or hotel sales software is considered an asset
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and special events as required
