Job Description  Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is undergoing a major culinary transformation. Our kitchens are being rebuilt, re‑equipped, and re‑imagined with new layouts, new equipment, and new standards. We are looking for culinarians who are adaptable, resilient, and excited to work in a brand‑new culinary environment, where processes are being refined, menus are evolving, and expectations are high. We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new  Chef de Partie .
What You Will Be Doing   Supervise preparation and service of all food items for a la carte and buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards
Oversee first cook, second cook and general cook in the kitchen area
Lead a team to produce the highest quality of food preparation and presentation
Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage and spoilage
Maintain a working environment where creativity, continuous improvement, and constructive criticism are the standard
Seek opportunities to increase food revenue and decrease kitchen expense while maximizing departmental productivity without compromising guest satisfaction
Co‑ordinate functions for timely set up and delivery
Provide fast and efficient guest services and respond quickly to all guest requests
Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications   Minimum 4 years well‑rounded experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel or reputable restaurant
Valid Journey persons’ papers or equivalent
Diploma or equivalent certification from a culinary program
Successful completion of Alberta’s Food Handler Certification
Previous supervisory experience
Valid Alberta driver’s license
Excellent knife skills and safe handling
Highly energetic individual excited about the challenges of a large and versatile resort
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
Visa Requirements  Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
