Steward Supervisor
Role:  Support a skilled and engaged team as Stewarding Supervisor, where your care and inspection of all flatware, tableware and kitchen equipment will ensure a superior standard.

What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the Chief Steward, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service while supporting fellow Colleagues

Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards

Train and supervise the Stewarding team in following policies and procedures

Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other areas assigned

Assign colleagues their duties

Minimize loss and breakage of china, glassware and silverware

Provide fast efficient guest service and respond quickly to customer requests

Ensure Kitchen Colleagues have dishes/silverware as required

Review banquet event orders and ensure all set-ups and supplies are in place

Ensure all equipment is in working order and report any items in need of repair

Following all safety and sanitation policies

Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:

Previous experience in a Stewarding environment required

Valid Alberta drivers license required

Previous supervisory experience preferred

Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications preferred

Knowledge of chemicals and sanitation preferred

WHMIS and First aid certified an asset

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Highly responsible & reliable

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision

Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Visa Requirements
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
