Job Description We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Reservations Agent.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Reservations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceRespond to all Room Reservation, Rate Offering and Hotel Information inquiries promptly and professionally via telephone, fax and/or E-mailReserve hotel accommodations for guests in the Leisure, Business Travel, Convention/Association, Corporate Meetings and Wholesale (FIT & IMM) market segmentsAccurately record all required reservation information in the Central Reservations System and/or the Opera Property Management System (PMS)Review and update reservations interfacing between the Accor Reservation SystemsEnsure reservation confirmations are issued promptly and accuratelyMonitor Hotel Inventory to maximize Room RevenuesContribute to hotel’s upsell program by consistently offering best suitable room types according to guest needs and maximizing hotel revenue and earn incentive per Company’s standardsProvide support to our colleagues at Fairmont Global Reservations Centre with guest booking needs.Understand special promotions and communicate information to various operational departmentsEnsure all cashier paperwork and journals are filed with Manager on duty on a daily basisAdhere to all LQA standards set up for the departmentConsistently uphold a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the company’s grooming policyEmbrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactionsOther duties as assignedQualifications
Your experience and skills include:
Minimum 1 year Front Office, Reservations or Sales experience required.Must possess professional telephone etiquette and have an excellent command of the English language.Typing skills, approximately 40 words per minute.Property Manager (Opera), and Microsoft Office applications experience an asset.Excellent knowledge of hotel facilities and surrounding areas.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.Must be flexible with shift start/end times and available to work weekends based on operational needsHighly responsible & reliable.Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.Additional Information
