Job Description
We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Overnight Front Office Supervisor. As Overnight Front Office Supervisor, you will provide engaging, sincere, personalized service in order to turn special moments into memories at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Showcase your interpersonal strengths as Front Office Supervisor, where you will lead, train and recognize your team in support of exceptional guest service!

What you will be doing:

Consistently offering professional, friendly and engaging service

Following departmental policies, procedures and service standards

Ensuring guest inquiries and complaints are handled and appropriate action is taken

Balancing all room charges including F&B, Health Club, Spa, Golf Course, Concierge and Concessionaires

Balancing all front office credit card transactions

Auditing and posting/balancing room & tax

Reviewing daily rebates for accuracy

Performing end of day duties for F&B point of sales system and the rooms’ property management system.

Ensuring all guest billing is accurate for Groups, Tour, FIT’s, & Individuals

Having a strong knowledge of all groups in house and effectively communicating them to staff

Having a strong understanding of SAQ Standards for the front office and ensuring all SAQ reports are completed in a timely manner.

Maintaining full understanding of emergency procedures, including Fire Panel

Working with all hotel departments to ensure guest bills are accurate upon departure

Manage guest rooms assignment and blocking

Support Company and Hotel policies and procedures including promoting and participation in Colleague Engagement Survey (CES), Fairmont Standards which include LQA, and Voice of the Guest (VOG) initiatives

Adhere to all LQA standards set up for the department

Adhering to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Valid Canadian Driver’s Licence

Strong guest service experience required

Minimum of 1-year previous proven guest services experience

Knowledge of Property Management System required

Experience with a Hotel loyalty program an asset

Must have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks and guest requests

Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure

Fluency in English

Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities

Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
