WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We're on the lookout for an Overnight House Person to join our vibrant team at the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel! It’s a full-time gig, offering $19 an hour plus an additional $1.00 overnight premium for hours worked overnight.
As part of our Style crew, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes force helping keep the hotel clean, organized, and guest-ready while the rest of the world sleeps. From keeping public spaces spotless to supporting laundry operations and responding to guest requests, you’ll play an important role in making sure our guests wake up to a hotel that looks and feels its best.
As an Overnight House Person, your overnight responsibilities include:
- Ensure corridors, vending areas, and all public spaces are properly cleaned and maintained every day.
- Fulfill guest requests in a timely, friendly, and professional manner while accurately logging requests for filing.
- Support the laundry team by maintaining a steady flow of dirty linens in and clean linens out to help prevent back-ups and overstock in the laundry room.
- Safely operate laundry equipment as required throughout your shift.
- Use steam cleaners and carpet shampoo machines to keep carpets clean, fresh, and guest-ready.
- Keep storage rooms stocked, organized, and clean so supplies are easy to access and ready when needed.
- Assist with the occasional cleaning of guest rooms when additional support is required.
- Ensure all Lost and Found articles are properly stored and that accurate logs are maintained.
- Maintain a professional and ethical approach when interacting with guests, associates, vendors, and other departments.
- Be familiar with and follow all hotel safety and accident prevention procedures.
- Follow provided checklists to ensure hotel standards are maintained consistently throughout every shift.
- Report any maintenance concerns, damages, safety issues, or other operational concerns to supervisors or the Maintenance team.
- Come to work on time, prepared, and ready to take on the overnight shift every day.
- Work in partnership with other departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest service.
- Provide superior customer service to all guests and vendors, helping create a welcoming and memorable Renaissance experience.
