We are seeking a senior leader to guide this practice. This role requires sound professional judgment, deep experience in labour relations, and the ability to support both high‑quality investigation work and the investigators doing it.

About the role
The Director, HR & Workplace Investigations provides leadership within our investigations practice while remaining closely connected to the work. You will oversee complex matters, coach investigators, support quality and consistency, and contribute to the ongoing development of our investigation practices, particularly in unionized and labour‑relations‑sensitive environments. This is an employee role offering flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful opportunity for professional growth within a senior‑led practice.
What you will do
Lead and oversee workplace investigations and senior HR advisory work
Provide guidance on labour relations and unionized workplace issues
Review investigation reports and provide clear, constructive feedback
Support investigator development and wellbeing on complex files
Contribute to investigation tools, templates, and practice standards
Partner with colleagues on client relationships and proposal development
Represent Veritas with clients and industry partners
What we are looking for
Required
Minimum five years of HR leadership experience, including labour relations and work in a unionized environment
You will likely also bring
Experience conducting or overseeing workplace investigations
Strong written, judgment‑based reporting skills
Comfort providing firm, respectful feedback
Leadership or mentorship experience
Alignment with values of care, fairness, and harm prevention
Work arrangement and compensation
Employee role with a 32‑hour flexible work week
Fully remote within Canada, with occasional travel
Salary range: $95,000 to $120,000, based on experience
