Position: Program Coordinator (CF) - RENU )

Catholic Social Services is currently seeking a collaborative and highly organized Program Coordinator to support the successful development and delivery of the new employment training program Navigating Upward (RENU).

This is a contract full‑time position ending on March 31, 2028, with the possibility of extension. Applications close on June 18, 2026.

Program Overview

RENU Program A is a 16‑week program that supports internationally trained professionals in Business Administration, IT, and Human Services through group learning, individualized coaching, and work‑based learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support participant recruitment, screening, and intake processes, ensuring appropriate program fit.
  • Develop, implement, and update individual participant plans (e.g., Work/Life Plans) to guide progress toward employment goals.
  • Provide one‑on‑one employment counseling, including career coaching, résumé and cover letter development, interview preparation, and job search strategies aligned with the Canadian labour market.
  • Deliver and facilitate group learning sessions and guided reflection activities to build workplace skills, confidence, and professional behaviours.
  • Identify and address barriers to employment through coaching, problem solving, and referrals to internal and external supports.
  • Support participants throughout the program lifecycle, including during work‑based learning placements, addressing challenges and supporting workplace integration.
  • Track and monitor participant progress and engagement, including documenting outcomes and progress toward employment.
  • Conduct post‑program follow‑ups, including employment verification, retention support, and career progression check‑ins.
  • Assist with the coordination of networking events, employer engagement, and participant activities.
  • Contribute to program evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and participant records in alignment with program and funder requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader and program staff to ensure coordinated, consistent, and high‑quality service delivery.
What This Job Requires
  • Diploma or degree in Social Work, Human Services, Career Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in employment services, counselling, or workforce development.
  • Experience working with newcomers and diverse populations is an asset.
  • Experience in case management and group facilitation preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Police Information Check including vulnerable sector search, Intervention Record Check, and/or summary of driving record are conditions of employment and the financial responsibility of the candidate.
