Optima Living is actively searching for a Labour Relations Consultant to enhance the support for our growing unionized workforce in Alberta and British Columbia. This role specializes in collective agreement advice and grievance resolution.
As a Labour Relations Consultant, you will work closely with operational leaders and senior management, providing strategic insights and advice on diverse labour relations matters.
Your role will be critical in facilitating positive union-management relationships and implementing best practices across our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide operational leaders on labour relations best practices
• Manage grievances and provide thorough resolution strategies
• Assist in bargaining support including proposal and strategy development
• Foster effective communication and relationship building across teams
• Maintain records and track labour relations documentation
Requirements:
• 3–7 years of progressive experience in a unionized environment
• Background in healthcare or seniors living greatly valued
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Educational qualifications in Human Resources or Labour Relations
• Capability to travel across Alberta and British Columbia as needed
