This role is essential for maintaining employee trust through timely and accurate compensation services. As an Assistant Manager, you will supervise workflows, enhance service delivery, and implement process improvements related to payroll and benefits for staff and educators. Your leadership will directly influence the well-being of employees at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee accurate payroll processing for K–12 Division
• Ensure compliance with pension plan reporting requirements
• Direct benefit administration, reviews, and consultations
• Collaborate on payroll forecasting and financial reporting
• Provide operational leadership and mentoring to staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or HR and 5 years experience
• Payroll Designation preferred (e.g., PCP)
• Direct K–12 payroll experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of HR systems (e.g., People Soft)
• Understanding of compensation legislation and processes
Lead payroll and benefits efficiency while supporting employee needs at Edmonton Catholic Schools.
