Salary Range (but Not Limited To): 149,
Incentive plan:
Annual bonus: 20% target, based on base salary, with a potential payout of up to 200% (subject to personal and company performance). We share our success with employees through incentive programs and Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) – with Broker Link matching a portion of contributions. Our Group RRSP with DPSP offerings provide flexibility and long-term security for our employees beyond their careers.
Salary for the candidate will be determined by experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location, etc. The salary range below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. We encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About
The Role
We are looking for a Director, Distribution (Personal Insurance) to join our growing Northern Alberta team. As Director, Distribution, you will constantly find ways to improve on the status quo and never settle for “good enough.” You will motivate and lead new initiatives, being the driving force for delivering strong results.
What You’ll Do Here
Responsible for achieving financial results, including sales targets for Personal Insurance within the Northern Alberta region
Manage the region’s book of business to achieve growth and profitability targets
Lead local branch initiatives that build engagement with customers, employees and other stakeholders
Implement and monitor regional objectives with respect to commission revenue, policy count, accounts receivables, loss ratios, quality of the book of business and expenses
Manage or participate in audits of files to manage E&O exposure
Direct resources to ensure efficient and effective operation of the region
Determine, establish and oversee key measures to monitor efforts, identify opportunities for improvements and enhance key business or operations processes
Responsible for marketing initiatives to achieve business objectives
Establish productive relationships with insurance company partners and monitor performance to ensure ongoing quality and profitability
Accountable for the overall staffing and leadership of the team, motivating staff to participate in company objectives and successfully communicating changes or new directions
Plan, develop and implement effective business strategies that are in alignment with corporate objectives
Drive organizational change including effective communication, engagement and coaching of the team
Develop succession planning for all key positions and actively manages and develops talent within the team
What You Bring To The Table
Post-secondary education preferred
Over 10 years of insurance industry experience
Minimum 5 years management experience
CIP or CAIB designation preferred
Provincial insurance license
Knowledge of Brokerage Management services and tools (Epic, ARS, etc.)
Proven Leadership experience
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Travel within Alberta required
