Location: Nisku
Be a vital part of Leduc County’s mission as Deputy Fire Chief - Training and Support, focusing on firefighter preparedness and compliance excellence. This role champions strategic objectives in fire services leadership.
Reporting to the Director of Protective Services/Fire Chief, your leadership will guide operational success in managing fire training, investigation, and safety protocols. Your experience will help shape community safety initiatives and elevate departmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee development and delivery of fire training programs
• Maintain equipment and facility readiness for emergency responses
• Manage compliance with safety codes and legislation
• Deliver public presentations and concise reports for management
• Foster external partnerships for fire service training
Requirements:
• Five years of advanced leadership in fire services
• Certified Level II Fire Officer and Investigator
• Alberta Class 3 Operator’s license required
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills
• Capability to pass necessary security clearances
