Job Description With a celebrated legacy and newly completed renovations, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has entered an exciting new chapter, one that redefines our iconic mountain resort as a world-class destination where nature, luxury, and heritage come together in harmony.
This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to shape and lead the future of golf at one of Canada’s most renowned resort courses. As we build on our renewed vision, we are seeking a Director of Golf who will elevate the guest experience, drive commercial performance, and position Jasper Park Lodge as a premier golf destination globally.
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Director of Golf is responsible for the overall strategic leadership, operations, and financial performance of the golf division.
This role will champion innovation while honoring the rich traditions of the course, ensuring exceptional service delivery, strong revenue growth, and unforgettable golf experiences for guests, members, and tournament groups alike.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide strategic leadership for all golf and grounds operations, ensuring a culture rooted in professional, engaging, and friendly serviceOversee the full golf operation including daily play, tournaments, lessons, clinics, pro shop, and course scheduling to ensure a seamless guest experienceManage Golf & Grounds financial performance, including annual budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditures, and achieving strong fiscal resultsLead all Golf Shop retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and product strategy to optimize revenue and deliver a premium guest experienceCollaborate closely with the Corporate/Executive Director of Golf to uphold brand standards, drive strategic golf positioning, and support talent recruitment, development, and retentionLead all aspects of colleague lifecycle management, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and workforce planning, while holding teams accountable to high standardsDevelop and execute comprehensive golf sales, marketing, and media strategies in partnership with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Public RelationsDrive revenue growth by promoting all golf facilities and services, enhancing group, tournament, and leisure business opportunitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with members, guests, corporate clients, and community partners; actively represent the resort through hosting, site visits, and play with key stakeholdersEnsure operational excellence through effective planning, communication, and execution of brand and service standardsFoster innovation within golf operations, continually enhancing the guest experience and competitive positioning of the courseDevelop and oversee off-season and year-round golf programming, including simulator operations and instructional offerings, to extend the golf season and drive incremental revenue.Participate as an active member of the Resort’s Senior Leadership Team, contributing to overall resort strategy and successChampion sustainability initiatives and support environmental programs aligned with Fairmont standardsEnsure full compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and operational guidelinesQualifications
Previous experience, at least five years, in the golf industry is requiredPrevious experience as a Director, Golf in a similar establishment is requiredDiploma/Degree within Golf Management or a related field is requiredMust be a member, in good standing, with the PGA of CanadaExperience with in a various golf course operations is preferred (ie. resort, semi-private, private)Additional Information
