What is the opportunity? Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a dynamic Director, Retail Sales, Automotive Finance – Alberta to lead our retail sales efforts across the Alberta region. As a critical member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role as a leader, mentor, coach, and expert resource for our Retail Relationship this role, you will work closely with the VP, Automotive Finance – Alberta and National Office to build and execute a market strategy to grow market share and maintain portfolio quality.You'll guide the team to deliver on RBC and regional priorities while leading by example, partnering to win as One RBC and demonstrating the positive impact our team can have on client experience.
What will you do?
Practice Management
Provide strategic coordination and regional best practices guidance to retail sales forces
Coach and develop Retail Account Managers to drive desired behaviors and continuous improvement
Share industry best practices and foster innovation within the team
Broaden leadership skills across your sales force (change management, strategic leadership, sales management, performance management, and issue resolution)
Drive retail volume and market share increases through effective time and priority management
Serve as the first point of contact for retail operations, including fraud investigations, escalations, and client care issues
Ensure team accountability for results, performance, and continuous improvement
Manage regular reporting and maintain data integrity
Facilitate integration of National Office retail initiatives across the Alberta region
Prepare and coordinate retail meetings and strategic discussions
Develop your team's ability to deliver exceptional client experiences
Ensure proactive client planning and meaningful contact with all clients to understand needs and satisfaction
Must Haves
5 to 10 years experience in automotive finance
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong sales management and coaching background
Demonstrated ability to drive business performance and market share growth
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales management tools (e.g., Sales Force
Commercial banking experience
MBA or equivalent
Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
