Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer is integral to Edmonton Public Library’s executive team, championing financial stewardship and overseeing facilities and supply chain management. You will lead a committed finance team while managing multi-million-dollar budgets, ensuring sound financial practices, and supporting organizational growth and service delivery. Engage with key stakeholders to advance EPL’s vision and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial reporting and budgeting processes

• Oversee capital projects and facility management

• Ensure compliance with financial controls and regulations

• Develop the Corporate Risk Registry

• Foster community relations and stakeholder communication

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• Minimum ten years of financial management experience

• Strong knowledge of Canadian public sector accounting

• Proven project management in capital budgeting

• Experience in community-focused organizations
