Immediate start; volunteers will commit to a minimum of one year and meet with their Little on a weekly or biweekly schedule.
About This Opportunity
BIGS & LITTLES refers to the mentoring relationship between one adult and one child. Volunteers share their time through a variety of activities that reflect the interests of both parties. The program is designed to match mentors with Littles based on shared interests, geography, and program type.

Qualifications
There are no specific skills or experience required, but volunteers must be at least 18 years old and undergo a screening process.

Deliverables / Duties
Volunteers will agree to a minimum of one year of commitment to their Little, sharing time together on a consistent and reliable schedule. Volunteers are encouraged to try new activities and find common interests; a list of recommended activities is provided, but there is no limit so long as the activities are safe and age‑appropriate.

1.5–2 hour screening interview
1.5–2 hour volunteer training seminar
Alberta Mentoring Partnership Certificate
Volunteer Requirements
Driver’s License Required
Background Check Required
Must be at least 18 years old
Orientation or training: 1–2 hours per week or 2–3 hours every other week
