About this opportunityYork Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada’s Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a Data Analysis Assistant Volunteer—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves data analysis.
Responsibilities- Contributing to team projects when assigned
- Working with spreadsheets and large datasets
- Promoting a welcoming and inclusive work environment for everyone
- Arriving to work on time/signing into shift on time
- Develop and enhance transferable soft skills like leadership, teamwork, and communication
- Gain experience, volunteer hours, and skills that are resume‑worthy in a workplace environment
- Free training
- Free networking opportunities
- Minimum age: 12
- Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills and software
- Complete training prior to start date
- Can commit to the shift schedule
- Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English
- Previous volunteer experience
