Community Engagement Coordinator
Open Door Group (ODG), a mission-driven non‑profit organization serving communities across Canada, is looking for a  Community Engagement Coordinator  to join our team!

Wage:  $32.04 to $33.83 per hour

Status:  Full‑Time, temporary until November 2028

Hours of Work:  36 Hours per week

Location:

The primary work location is Open Door Group Edmonton Employment Centre at Suite 500, 10150 – 100 Street NW, Edmonton. This role requires regular travel within Edmonton. A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and reliable access to a personal vehicle are required.

The  Community Engagement Coordinator  is accountable for cultivating strategic partnerships through community outreach activities. Their responsibility is to foster relationships and maintain active partnerships with social service providers, schools, cultural organizations, indigenous communities, and other relevant groups to promote service awareness, and to understand the various ways ODG services can provide or support solutions for our mutual clients.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to Open Door Group’s mission, vision, and values, with a solid understanding of the Human Rights Code and best practices in Disability, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). They will demonstrate familiarity with local community resources and the broader community support ecosystem and excel at building positive relationships with diverse stakeholders to promote service awareness and identify collaborative solutions for shared clients.

Qualifications

Diploma in Marketing/Sales, Business, or Human Resources.

Recent, related experience of three (3) years or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Valid Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle during work hours, with ability to travel as required.

Must maintain a satisfactory criminal record, including vulnerable sector check.

Prioritizes work effectively with strong attention to detail.

Provides consistent, high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and databases.

Ability to take initiative, solve problems and adapt to change.
