Position: Development Officer for Athletics Engagement
Elevate support for Athletics at the University of Alberta as a hybrid Development Officer. Engage donors and alumni to foster relationships and philanthropy for the Dean of Students.

This Development Officer position focuses on building connections with approximately 80-100 prospective donors. Reporting to the Development Manager of Athletics, you will advance personal and professional relationships that encourage philanthropic contributions. Your collaboration with Athletics and University Development will be crucial in facilitating meaningful donor engagement and overseeing impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of prospective donors effectively

• Collaborate closely with Athletics and stakeholders

• Foster relationships with alumni, faculty, and students

• Facilitate donor-facing initiatives and projects

• Communicate effectively with senior executives and volunteers

Requirements:

• Experience in donor engagement and relationship building

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Understanding of philanthropic contributions in academia

• Knowledge of Athletics fundraising strategies

• Ability to work in a hybrid model across campuses
