Leadership Giving Director for Conservation

Contribute to the bird conservation mission at the National Audubon Society as the Senior Director of Leadership Giving. This hybrid role requires expertise in major gifts and a passion for environmental impact.

You will manage an ambitious fundraising strategy to support Audubon’s goals, working with senior leaders and board members to secure significant donations. Your focus will be on nurturing relationships with high-net-worth individuals and growing a successful fundraising team spearheading major gifts. Coordinate closely with internal partners to align fundraising efforts across various programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop major and principal giving programs with measurable goals

• Supervise a team aimed at raising $2-$5 million annually

• Drive fundraising initiatives under Audubon’s Strategic Plan

• Ensure fruitful communications with potential donors

• Foster a safe and inclusive culture within the team

Requirements:

• 15 years in fundraising, with 5 in leadership

• Demonstrated success in soliciting six-figure gifts

• Exceptional interpersonal and strategic planning skills

• Creativity in donor engagement and communication

• Willingness to travel for donor meetings and events
