Métis Youth Programs Coordinator

Be a catalyst for change as the Provincial Youth Project Coordinator with the Otipemisiwak Métis Government in Edmonton, focusing on youth programs and services. This full-time role involves managing and executing significant events for the Métis community.

In this permanent position, you will play a crucial role in establishing and enhancing programs that empower Métis youth. Collaborating with the Youth Programs and Services team, your duties include the seamless execution of events like the Youth and Seniors Gathering and the Youth Leadership Conference, ensuring successful logistics and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate Métis youth events and services

• Manage event logistics and participant registration

• Build relationships with community stakeholders

• Adhere to health and safety standards for events

• Evaluate programs for ongoing improvement

Requirements:

• Minimum two years in program development and event management

• Relevant post-secondary education preferred

• Familiarity with Métis issues and culture

• Excellent organizational and communication abilities

• Must possess valid driver’s license and pass background checks
