Located in Rainbow Lake, AB, Noralta Motor Inn operates as a hotel that combines the comforts of hospitality with the practicality of a field camp environment. We prioritize excellent customer service and aim to provide quality dining experiences for all our guests.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals that meet the high standards of our guests. You will work closely with kitchen staff to ensure all meals are prepared with attention to detail and in a timely manner.
Compensation:
From $275.00 per day with a competitive package after 3 months.
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines.
- Ensure presentation of food is appealing.
- Be prepared to cater for up to 120 people.
- Approximately 10-hour days.
- Rotation: 2 weeks on, 1 week off.
- Proven experience as a Cook in a similar setting, preferably in a camp, hotel or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in effective communication.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Safe Certification or equivalent is required.
- English required.
- Experience:
1–2 years of cooking (preferred).
